Gran Premio Carrellisti: new edition September 2022
Once again this year, Ungari is hosting the Gran Premio Carrellisti, a competition organized to celebrate the skills of forklift drivers and the importance of workplace safety.
This fun challenge, created to reward workers and all their companies, is already at its 11th edition.
Each year, companies and forklift drivers happily participate, using it as a way to increase awareness about safety.
The goal of the Award is to recognize the work of these incredible professionals, showing everyone the potential of forklifts.
Through a series of difficult challenges, the participants compete to win the final Grand Prize, which includes a range of equipment.
This year’s edition will be held on September 17, 2022, and dozens of participants are expected.
The rules and registration documents are already on the Ungari website, available to the participants.

The 2021 winners
The tenth edition of the Gran Premio Carrellisti was won by Daniele Cobianchi, a true “super champion”-who managed to overcome Carlo Alfieri in the super challenge.
Cobianchi has held the title for a full five years, and is widely regarded as a formidable opponent. Through his years of experience, he is able to move quickly and efficiently, bringing the cart to its full potential.
The race combines precision, dexterity and skill so that all challengers are tested. The trolley drivers must go through a series of courses with attached obstacles, trying to demonstrate their driving skills as much as possible.
In all of this, work safety regulations are adhered to at every moment of the race. Some demonstrations are provided at the initial stage of the course, so as to show everyone the importance of safety.
Usually, the competition is divided into two “heats.” A first session is held in the morning, with the goal of identifying the 13 competitors with the best score.
After that, in the afternoon, the finalists compete until they reach the final round, pitting only two champions against each other.
In September we will find out the winner of this edition, who will be able to stand out among the dozens of forklift drivers who will take part in the event.
The rules of the Grand Prize
As mentioned in the official rules, participants are required to have “full equipment.”
Specifically, they will be obliged to fasten their seat belts, wear appropriate clothing, and wear protective shoes.
Safety always comes first in the race, and there is no way around this requirement; in fact, all those who show up without protective shoes will be automatically disqualified.
The organizers will consider several elements in choosing the winner so as to arrive at the most reasonable and sensible choice possible. They will focus primarily on race time, that is, the time it takes participants to traverse the entire course.
Experts will follow participants throughout the course, making sure to point out any mistakes or carelessness.
There is a 10-second penalty for anyone who does not perform the prescribed tasks in a manner appropriate to the race. Situations such as incorrectly picking up the load or losing the load, or hitting any of the obstacles on the course will result in a penalty.
The maximum number of penalties allowed is 5, up to the elimination of the participant.
Conclusions
The Gran Premio Carrellisti is a good opportunity to valorize your company and demonstrate the skills of your employees.
In addition, it is also a great way to focus general attention on safety and the importance of “precision” at work.
At the end of the course, winning is not really important. In such cases, the beauty of participation is rewarding enough.
